Opinion of GENDER EQUALITY

GENDER EQUALITY

Gender equality is where women and men have equal rights. Without any discrimination from any aspect. Meghan markle said  equality means that a wife is equal to her husband, a sister to her brother, a woman to a man, not better, not worse, they are equal. It isn’t enough to simply talk about equality. One must believe in it. It isn’t enough to simply believe in it. One must work at it.
The struggle for equality of rights already exists. In Indonesia, Kartini as a female figure who fought for women's life in Indonesia to get the same education and opportunity as men. With the union of women and men, it will create a good harmony in building the country and the world. Because women are people who are actually capable of bringing change and must have a chance in determining life.
"we need to achieve gender equality," said world bank group president Robert B. Zoellick. "over the past five years, the world bank group has provided $ 65 billion to support girls' education, women's health, etc. The world bank group will mainstream our gender work and look for other ways to advance the agenda to capture the full potential of half of the world's population.
Menteri Pemberdayaan Perempuan Dan Perlindungan Anak (PPPA) Yohana Susana Yembise said if PBB have ask indonesia to be one of ten country that assembing gender equality because Indonesia has a big potential.
President Joko Widodo was appointed un program ambassador "he for she" to encourage countries to fight for gender equality. Vice President Jusuf Kalla was also present and attended the he for she conference at the 71st united nations general assembly in New York in September. Indonesia is considering capable of increasing the participation of women in the political arena.
So, gender equality is a common issue and responsibility - women and men. Gender equality is not a woman's ambition to get rid of men. However, a way of humanizing human beings - none dominate and nothing is dominated.
We are all equal in merit as a human. Not only to limit ourselves to our appropriateness as a women or men.
